Key players weigh in on the new era of climatetech investing

What new opportunities are emerging as America’s green industrial strategy ramps up?

On The Carbon Copy podcast this week:

There are a lot of quarterly ups and downs in the venture dollars deployed across climatetech, but the trend is generally up. Since 2021, more than 200 new climate investment funds have been created with a cumulative $121 billion under management, according to CTVC.

Earlier this month, Canary Media Editorial Director Eric Wesoff explored the evolving state of climate investing at Canary Media’s live event in Berkeley, California.

The panel included Nancy Pfund, founder and managing partner at DBL Investors; Mona EINaggar, a partner at Valo Ventures; and Elaine Hsieh, a senior advisor at the U.S. Department of Energy.

They discussed which sectors are most promising, the pathways to commercial success and what America’s green industrial strategy means for investors.
