Despite a threat by some House lawmakers to pare back energy provisions in the tax bill, incentives for renewable energy and ethanol remain intact and will be signed by President Obama today.
E&E Publishing reports (subscription required) that the Section 1603 renewable energy grant program, as well as production tax credits and tariffs for ethanol are unchanged from the Senate version.
The bill also extends several incentives for home energy efficiency improvements.
Sahir Surmeli, a Boston-based attorney specializing in new energy technology, reports via Twitter that extension of Section 48(C) Advanced Renewable Energy Tax Credits are not included in the bill.
Midwest Energy News will be updated throughout the day with additional details.
